Maria José Araújo

Maria José Araújo received her Ph.D. in Education from the University of Porto. She is a professor at the School of Education of Politécnico do Porto (P.PORTO) and a researcher at the Research Centre in Psychology of Music and Music Education (CIPEM) and InED-Centre for Research and Innovation in Education. Her research interests are concerned with education and learning, free time and leisure especially in what concerns childhood, arts education and creativity, information and communication technologies. She cooperates regularly in European intervention projects and networks. She is author of several books and articles.

João Paulo Delgado is Bachelor of Laws, Master in Education and Doctor of Science Education by the University of Santiago de Compostela. He is Associate Professor in the School of Education at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. He has published several articles and books on the following topics: Child Rights and Foster Care.

“21st Century Learning Skills into Practice”

Plenary Speaker

Vanessa Reis Esteves has been teaching EFL in Portugal for the past 23 years and is currently teaching at Escola Superior de Educação. She holds a Master’s degree in Anglo American studies and is involved in teacher training in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Serbia, Romania, Turkey, Croatia, Slovenia, Malta, Portugal, Egypt and Morocco. She presently writes course material for EFL students and has written ETpedia: Young Learners with practical ideas on teaching YLs for Pavilion Publishing in the UK. Her areas of interest are teaching YLs, (Pre)Teens as well as Critical Thinking and 21st Century skills.
